Privacy policy applicants
In this document you will find information about the personal data we process from applicants for an internship or workplace on www.werkenbijitvstudios.nl (hereinafter: the Website).
Who are we
We are ITV Studios Holding B.V. and its affliates: ITV Studios Netherlands Holding B.V., ITV Studios Netherlands B.V., ITV Studios Netherlands Drama B.V., ITV Studios Netherlands Content B.V. and ITV Studios Global Entertainment B.V. (hereinafter: “ITV Studios ” or “we“).
ITV Studios Netherlands, is a private limited liability company, having its registered office at Familie De Mollaan 1, 1217 ZB Hilversum.
Controller
ITV Studios is responsible for processing personal data on the Website. By processing personal data, we mean using the data from the moment of acquisition until the moment of removal.
Which personal data do we process and why
We process all personal data that you leave behind on our Website (and in exceptional cases by e-mail) for the relevant application procedure. Your personal data will be stored by us after you have clicked on the “Send” button on the Website.
On the Website we indicate which personal data are necessary for the application procedure and which data you can provide optionally. We may, among other things, ask the following personal data:
- Initials, first name, last name
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Address
- Postal code & place name
- Phone number
- Resume
- Motivation
- Photo
Based on the received personal data, we can form a complete view of all applicants. We then assess which applicants might be suitable for the vacant function. Depending on the function, we can also conduct an assessment. ITV Studios uses professional parties to conduct assessments.
In addition, we would like to have the opportunity to contact applicants and/or to send information, to invite them for an interview and/or to conclude a contract of employment. We will not use your data for any other purposes than as described above.
Finally, we do not process special personal data of applicants, such as race, ethnic origin, political opinion, beliefs, trade union membership, sexual orientation, health data or criminal date. This is different if you give your explicit consent for this.
Legal bases for processing
Insofar as the processing of personal data is not based on your consent, we invoke on the following grounds:
- Necessary to perform an agreement e.g. to offer an employment contract;
- Legal obligation e.g. payroll tax;
- Legitimate interest e.g. for the application procedure; or
- Vital interests e.g. in case of immediate danger to share health data without the possibility to give consent.
Security
We make every effort to optimally secure the received personal data via the Website. We do so by taking state-of-the-art organisational and technical security measures aimed at preventing unauthorised access to the data and alteration, disclosure or loss of the data.
Access
The personal data is only accessible for employees who are involved in the application procedure. We oblige any external parties – engaged by us – to follow our instructions and (security) standards.
Retention period
In the event of a rejection, we store the personal data of an applicant for 4 weeks after the end of the application period. Unless you have given us consent, we can store your personal data for the duration of 1 (one) year for future vacancies at ITV Studios.
After starting employment, we store the personal data for 7 years after the end of employment or for at least as long as it is permitted by law.
Rights applicants
As an applicant you have certain rights based on the privacy legislation, including the right to inspect, rectify, complement, erase and/or transmit your personal data. If you have provided your personal data on the basis of consent, you can also withdraw this consent. Finally, please note that you may file a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority).
You may send us a request to exercise your rights at any time. You may do so by sending an email to privacy.nl@itv.com. Please specify in your request, insofar as possible, to which personal data your request relates and which right you wish to exercise, and provide evidence to demonstrate that you are the owner of those personal data. We aim to respond to your request within a period of one month.
Amendments
We may unilaterally amend this Privacy Policy Applicants. We therefore advise you to regularly check this policy for amendments. If we make major amendments, we will inform you accordingly, for instance by publishing an announcement on our websites or apps, by email or by requesting your consent again.
The most recent amendment was on 1 January 2020.
